I have recently finished my masters degree in geology and today I signed a contract for a Ph.D. study at the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland for the next three years.
This is great since I get to do interesting research about some of the oldest volcanic rocks on Earth located in Greenland and I can continue to go on expeditions, because the job is quite flexible regarding long vacations.
On top of that I just got a load of climbing gear from Millet to use on my trip to Nepal next spring, so everything is looking good at the moment for the upcoming expedition.
