I train in various ways for the mountains. Apart from running I do some indoor bouldering, primarily roof climbing at the local climbing club (NKK), to build core strength and endurance:

I have recently finished my master�s degree in geology and today I signed a contract for a Ph.D. study at the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland for the next three years.

The plane ticket to Nepal has now been booked, but the permits are not sorted out yet. However, Jim and I will spend all of April in the Khumbu valley, so no matter what mountain permit we end up with we will definitely get some climbing done.

I was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on July 7th 1982. I've been a passionate climber since my first altitude experience on Kilimanjaro at age 16. I had to dig really deep, because I wasn't feeling well from the altitude, but I summited (as the only person in our group) just as the first rays of the sun hit the mountain. It was a very emotional experience and I instantly knew that I was going to persue this experience for the rest of my life. The feeling of overcoming yourself physically ...
