PhD

I have recently finished my master�s degree in geology and today I signed a contract for a Ph.D. study at the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland for the next three years.

The plane ticket to Nepal has now been booked, but the permits are not sorted out yet. However, Jim and I will spend all of April in the Khumbu valley, so no matter what mountain permit we end up with we will definitely get some climbing done.

Expedition planning

At home right now (Copenhagen, Denmark) planning a climbing trip to Nepal with Jim Broomhead (Sheffield, UK). We will try to climb the West Face of Ama Dablam and the North face of Cholatse in April 2009. We still need a permit for Ama Dablam and can't book our flights until we know who's permit we will share and trek in with.
I will try and report now and then with updates and hopefully also from the base camp to give the freshest possible stories from the climb.

I was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on July 7th 1982. I've been a passionate climber since my first altitude experience on Kilimanjaro at age 16. I had to dig really deep, because I wasn't feeling well from the altitude, but I summited (as the only person in our group) just as the first rays of the sun hit the mountain.
