Hi Kristoffer
Take care, Sigrid
Hi Kris!
This afternoon (while half asleep on my lunch break) I remembered you mentioned you were on the Alpinist news section for your climb in China. I wanted to see some photos, and I stumbled upon your website. Incredible images! I just wanted to drop a line to thank you for the training advice and the unlikely Greyhound company. Enjoy Canmore and your research!
Cheers!
Laura
Dear Kristoffer,
I am Manu Rivaud, 33, climber and journalist for Montagnes magazine France since 8 years now.
I heard about your recent trip to China and here we are interested to publish a large news about it in our next february issue.
I have some details thanks to your report on planetmountain.
To complete maybe you can tell to me few on your partner Martin Ploug.
Also i am interested to see your pictures
Hope get contact with you as soon as possible, my article has to be done for next tuesday
Best regards
Manu
Congratulations on climbing Renzhong Feng! I have seen it and don?t want to do it.
I have some information on the question of the altitude of the peak: The 6079m information is from a 1969 survey and was used until the 1980s. Mr. Takamura has never updated his published claim. At latest by 1997 the peak was corrected to 5731m. I have three different maps published in Chengdu in 1997, 2001 and 2005 confirming the altitude as 5731m. Probably more maps could be found. With your GPS reading of 5800m you have confirmed the correction made about 15 years ago.
Hi Kristoffer,
I've also found your site before and I was amazed about your climbs but I've just read that you managed to climb the Ren Zhong Feng as well! Congratulations for that! As I'm from Hungary I would like to say thank you for your efforts in searching our climbers on the mountain. Big loss for us.
By the way your family name also refers to a Hungarian name. Do you have any Hungarian relation?
Wish you all the best, keep on climbing safely!
Hi Kristoffer!
My name is Alex. I`m from Moscow, Russia.
Do you remember two Russian guy`s with sherpa on Ama-Dablam in Camp 2?
We drink tea with snacks together on Yellow Tower at the evening of 15th April.
You with your friend went down, and we went up to Summit next morning.
We achieved Summit 17th of April and meet you again in Base Camp 19th of April.
